Man’s First Blog

I suppose it’s both exciting and incredibly sad that I write my first “blog” today.  That’s around 20 years after these things started.  I am not a trend starter, nor a trend follower.  In this case, I am like that guy that just started listening to the Backstreet Boys.  Now, not 20 years ago when they first debuted.

I am not saying I’m a Backstreet Boys fan.  But I am also not saying I don’t like them.  The law of double negatives says that I do like them.   Ok.  It’s true.  As far as boy bands go, I liked them best.  It’s not my fault.  They had catchy lyrics.  When they would say “everybody”, I would literally rock my body.  Alright?  I bet you did too.  Unless you liked Nsyc or however they spell it.  Maybe there was supposed to be an apostrophe somewhere, but that doesn’t work for me grammatically.  It’s like some stupid way of making it seem cool and colloquial, similar to texting language except it isn’t cool, Justin.  Backstreet Boys makes sense in terms of grammar and ultimately, I liked their music better.  I’ve written it on the internet now, I can’t take it back.

It seems that I got carried away.  This likely won’t be the last time.

I am going to wrap things up for this first entry.  I didn’t want to overstay my welcome on my own website as it would seem oddly self-serving.  Be sure to check out my next blog as it appears discussing the topic of Best Fall Movie (Non-Horror or Halloween).
